We're Not the Biggest HVAC Company in Indianapolis
White River HVAC is a small, family-run team serving Indianapolis and the Shenandoah Valley. We do honest replacements, careful installs, and tell you the truth, which is why our customers keep sending their neighbors.

Our Story
The big HVAC names in Indianapolis spend a fortune on advertising, and the cost of all those billboards and TV ads gets baked into the quote you get on your kitchen counter. We saw too many friends and neighbors walk away from one of those quotes feeling oversold and overcharged, and we decided to do it differently.
White River HVAC is run by Daniel Zimmerman. I live in Harrisonburg now and run our Virginia location there, and our Indianapolis base is on the city's east side. There's no call center between you and us. When you call, you reach a real person the same day, and you deal with a small team you can reach directly, not a rotating crew of strangers.
I started this company on a simple bet: that homeowners would rather work with a small, honest local team than a sales machine, if that small team could match the work and beat the price. So that's what we do. Lower overhead. Careful installs. Honest answers, even when "you don't need that yet" is the honest answer. And a written promise that we'll beat any comparable quote and guarantee our work, parts and labor.
Two Locations, One Way of Working
We started in Indianapolis, where most of our work has come by word of mouth from the south and southeast side. Today our Indianapolis base is on the east side, in the 46229 area, and the south-side towns are still ours. In Virginia, our shop in McGaheysville serves Harrisonburg and the Shenandoah Valley. Both locations make the same promises: a real person on the phone the same day, a fair price in writing, a comparable quote beaten, and parts and labor guaranteed.
What We Believe
Honesty pays the bills.
If a repair makes more sense than a replacement, we'll tell you. If your unit's actually fine, we'll say so. That's how we sleep at night — and how we earn referrals.
Small beats slick.
A small local team that owns the job from quote to cleanup beats a big company with a glossy truck wrap, every time.
Price should be fair.
Lower overhead is supposed to mean a lower price. So bring us a comparable quote — we'll beat it.
Workmanship is the whole job.
A right-sized system, a careful install, a clean job site, and a parts-and-labor guarantee. That's the bar.

Where We Work
We work from two locations and keep our service areas close to each, so we can respond fast and price fair. Around Indianapolis, that means the city (Southport, Homecroft, Beech Grove, Perry Township, and the rest of the south side), Greenwood, Franklin, Bargersville, Mooresville, Shelbyville, Greenfield, and the communities in between. In Virginia, it means Harrisonburg, McGaheysville, Dayton, Elkton, Bridgewater, Timberville, and Broadway.
